Sport Aircraft - Aero Engines - Uncrewed Logistics Founded in 1988, Jabiru has produced light aircraft for over 35 years, uniquely manufacturing both airframes and engines from our factory located in Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia. Jabiru bulit aircraft and engines are in operation domestically and around the world.
Jabiru’s aero engines are uniquely suited to uncrewed platforms in the 500-1,000 kg range, being world leading in terms of simplicity, cost, power and mass.
Jabiru has recently developed its own VTOL and fixed wing uncrewed platforms aimed at deploying logistics loads between 50 and 500kg.
Developed for the sport aircraft market, Jabiru’s engines are designed for simplicity, robustness and maximising power to weight. This makes them ideal for uncrewed aircraft in the 500-1,000 kg range. Supported globally by a network of dealers and agents, Jabiru engines are designed and manufactured in Australia.
• 2200 GEN4 - 80hp (60kW) / 62.3 kg
• 3300 GEN4 - 120hp (90 kW) / 83.5 kg
Utilising its considerable experience in designing and manufacturing successful sport aircraft, Jabiru is developing uncrewed platforms with payloads in the range of 50-500 kg. Aimed at Australian Defence Force requirements, the platforms reflect Jabiru’s design philosophy or “refined simplicity”. The platforms are robust, efficient, designed to be operated by non-specialist forces and utilise significant elements of production sports aircraft.
• JCQ50 - VTOL, ICE powered, 50 kg payload, 150 km range
• JU30 - fixed wing, 500 kg payload, 1,000 km range
Jabiru’s Uncrewed Logistics platforms are being developed in concert with the Australian Defence Force requirements for logistic capabilities in the archipelagic and littoral environments.
• Jabiru has delivered more aircraft and engines than any organisation in Australia’s history and is flying in over 50 countries.
• Jabiru is unique in being the manufacturer of both airframes and engines, and having developed successful products in both markets.
• Jabiru manufactures platforms which are efficiently focused entirely on the mission and the user.
• In developing platforms with payloads in the range of 50-500kg, Jabiru is extending the capabilities developed over 35 years in sport aircraft into the uncrewed logistics market.
Jabiru Aero Engines are in continuous production and available to order. They are supported by a global network of dealers, agents and approved maintainers.
• Jabiru products have been exported to over 50 countries around the world and are actively in operation across the globe.
• Jabiru development programs are being conducted in concert with Australian Army and Royal Australian Air Force programs.
