Expeditionary Metal Unit (EMU)
The EMU is a deployable, self-contained manufacturing solution comprised of the XSPEE3D printer and the SPEE3Dcell post-processing unit, enabling a complete endto-end metal part production process in remote or harsh environments.
- Robust Build: Engineered to endure extreme climates, including desert heat, rain, and dust, making it ideal for defence, mining, and other remote industries.
- Exceptional Build Rate: The XSPEE3D delivers rapid metal part production at a rate of up to 100 grams per minute, significantly reducing lead times for critical components.
- Material Versatility: Supports a wide range of materials, including Aluminium 6061 and Nickel-Aluminium Bronze, to meet diverse operational needs.
- Complete Manufacturing Solution: Pairs with SPEE3Dcell, offering advanced post-processing such as heat treatment, machining, and testing, to produce fully finished and functional parts.
- Easy to Operate: Can be powered with just electricity. With highly automated software and robotics, the XSPEE3D only requires minimal training to operate effectively, even in remote, challenging environments.
- Cold Spray Technology: Utilizes SPEE3D’s patented Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing (CSAM) process to produce high-quality, durable metal parts without melting the material.
- Portable and Deployable: Compact and transportable, the EMU is contained within two 20ft standard shipping containers with twist locks, allowing for easy deployment by land, sea, or air.
